Original halo enemies3/1/2024 ![]() The ODST 'stamina' kinda fills the hole left by shields. This is the second easiest halo on legendary to my surprise. Halo 3 ODST: This is basically halo 3 minus the flood and your not a spartan. All stickies and spikes bounce of chieftans! Nowhere near as powerful as the OP halo 1 grenades, but they are a functional and get lots of damage and kills in. halo 3 vehicles are the strongest in the series IMO bc they feel the tankiest, have some of the best driving characteristics, and many vehicles have powerful weapons and abilities that really steps up how powerful they are in combat. They feel less like mindless zombies and more like a hive mind of sentient parasites as they were likely intended to be. they got a pretty big overhaul in halo 3 that changes how they fundamentally feel to fight. The flood are less numerous, very squishy, and shoot a lot more. Brute armor breaking makes it easy to use hit and run tactics successfully and allows you to take fights at your pace. Chief actually has some tankability in halo 3 on legendary and brutes are not overly squishy. Halo 3: IMO the easiest halo on legendary. Legendary can have painful moments for sure, but it can still be fun. Also, the AI hates when you try to skip fights and sometimes will try and chase you a fair way in this game. Halo 2 grenades are very lacking im power and just don't work well due to low damage and a short range. Halo 2 brutes are by far the toughest and have the most violent and strongest rage. The most annoying flood are the humans with pistols (ironically) bc legendary boosts the pistol to decent for them and their bullet spam leads to lucky headshots for flood. The flood are still numerous and now shoot. You will find that the only way to get through vehicle sections intact is by obliterating the enemy before they have time to return fire. Vehicles are kind of squishy including tanks. ![]() Dual wielding is outright broken for AI enemies as the increased damage makes it feel like they are just delete beams of death. Shield capacity and regen complement an overall much faster paced game than halo 1. shields for you especially feel like your being protected by paper. Halo 2: The softest/squishiest and second hardest halo overall IMO. This game is fun and nostalgic to play legendary. There is a crap ton of flood infinite spawns (either that or they have a very high spawn limit) so if you feel like you killed 3 or more waves its best to just push past and it'll usually stop. ![]() The flood are super tough and often feign death in halo 1 however they don't shoot very much and prefer to melee even on legendary. Grenades are MUCH more powerful in halo 1 IMO often leading to instant kills on even the toughest enemies without being a direct hit. AI is simplistic compared to modern halo and grenades do much better as a result. Ghost feels like a mini tank bc its unexpectedly tough. Both you and the enemy are a lot tougher. Halo 1: The whole game is just tankier in general. A lot of it comes down to being smart and timing. Also by the final 2-3 titles you will note you are much better than you were in the first few titles. It lets you experience the progressive development of each game. I am certainly not the best FPS-games (also getting to old for that, have too little time), so while I have beaten everything on normal (and it was quite difficult sometimes) which order would you recommend for heroic or even later, legendary (it it comes to that)?
